Stay at Bison Island Ranch

"I was looking for a place that offered plenty of comfort while still letting me feel immersed in the surrounding nature, and the teepee at Bison Island Ranch was exactly that. I stayed during the summer and was surprised by how cool and comfortable it stayed at night. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature outside was incredibly relaxing, and the included bedding and comforter were so comfortable that I genuinely got some of the best sleep I've had in a long time. "My boyfriend and I stayed at Bison Island Tipi, and we had the best time! We made a fire and roasted some marshmallows by the pond, stargazed, and had a great night's sleep on the bottom bunk! There were so many nice touches - such as the coffee maker inside and the extensively painted bathhouse! The ranch owner, Susan, was a great host - clear communication and very knowledgeable about the bison!! It was wonderful sitting outside the tipi and seeing the bison in the distance. We also got the pleasure of seeing a very handsome great blue heron on the shoreline!"   - Dana

We went fishing. We both caught so many fish - very exciting! We went to the lavender farm nearby. We had steaks for dinner alongside a nice bonfire. We experienced some drizzle, but that didn't stop our fun. Inside the teepee, we played 2 rounds of checkers. Marcello loved the bison jerky, which we purchased earlier from the shop. In summary, it's been a peaceful stay. Tranquil.

"Staying in the tipi was such a great experience. It is cozy inside and comfortable for two people in the bottom bunk! The tipi was pretty spacious, and Susan provided some little goodies upon arrival. We were right on the pond that was lovely to swim in and jump off the dock. There was a fire pit to take advantage of and a grill too!"  -  Sydney
